I have to replace the fuel line and filter in my chainsaw. How long do I leave the fuel line in the fuel tank itself. I do not have the orginal to compare it to. The new fuel line is a soft clear plastic. The filter is a pick up style about 1" long and 5/8" in diameter. Once I put the filter on the new line should it lay in the bottom or just touch? Thanks.

that plastic fuel line is what they recommend using.when u replace the fuel line and put that new filter on it it weighs more than the fuel line so it will take it to the bottombut as far as how long some folks after use dump the gas back in there can and then start the saw up till it dies out.i personally dont do it but i know a lot of folks that do.
