The Hydro on my John Deere has no ground speed control. You push the stick to go forward and it does a wheelie. Has anybody got any idea what is causing this.

If I understand you correct it just goes from sitting still to all of a sudden taking off and doing a wheelie?
Then I would guess something in the hydro is really goofed up. Also check the linkage to the hydro. If it is the hydro,, look for another 111H with a bad motor. They are notorious for the engine going bad way before anyting else does.
