How do I remove the front axle pivot pin so I can remove the axle from the chassis?

Go to the front of the tractor. Get down and look at the axle. Look at the Cross Member, there should be a Collar weld to the cross member. The axle pivot pin is held in place with a small diameter retainer pin (3/16" x 1-1/4") that goes into the collar and pivot pin. That has to be driven out before the pivot pin can slide out. The retainer pin can be rusted in there and can be a PITA to get out. Remedies include: soaking with a penetrating oil, heat, and/or drilling out.

Thank you R Bedell. The pivot pin came right out after I drove the roll pin out. Now, is there a good way to remove the roll pins in the brake pivot shaft?

LOL.....The Same Way.....

There is a Guy that made a tool that moved those pins without hammering on them. Works slick but I don't know if he is still making them.

BTW...CC used a pin called a "spirol" pin, which is different and more beefy than a standard roll pin. May I suggest if you need to replace one, get the actual CC pin.
