Ok, I have been reading all of the emails from desperate Jacobsen owners on various websites and I feel bad that I never jumped in to comment. Now, my worries (due to the age of my tractor and me) are getting to me. I have a 1969/70 1200 Chief that I have used for well over 20 years. I have the original tractor and Kohler engine manual. I have the mower manuals and associated parts list and a copy of the original plow blade manual and parts list. I have the 42" aluminum deck, a snowplow blade and a nice lawn cart for it. It's in really good mechanical shape with little rust and it runs great. It has been garaged all it's life. So, we all know that it's obselete and that Corll's sold out so now what do we do for parts? My questions are:

-I have read that Jacobsen made Ford and MM tractors. If I need parts, what Ford or MM tractors align with my unit and where might I find parts? -I have a machinest friend that helps me as much as he can but there are limitations. Anyone know of a tractor bone-yard near Southwest Ohio that I can crawl around in?

I will also help anyone in any way I can. I have had some experience having parts made or made them myself. ----greg

Thanks for the reply. I have been on the lookout for a parts tractor. I think a Ford T120 is also a good parts tractor for my model. I heard that the Ford T1000 or a T140 were very similar too.

As for Corll's parts, I heard someone from Northern Ohio bought the whole Jacobsen lot. ---g

You can always do the ebay thing, keep on the look out for a parts machine ( or 2 ). I don't know about NW area bone yards but I've got a few of them out back here. Oh yeah, I also know where a good portion of the parts from Corlls went.....

Could you guide us to the person who bought the parts? I've got 20 or so Jacs from the 7hp to the 14hp, always like to know where the parts guys are. I'm in EXTREME NE Illinois. Thanks, John

I'll see what he's planning on doing with them ( I suspect ebay ?) and how public he wants his name / contact info. to be. He's located in NW PA not far from Corall's.

Al Kowal runs Eversharp Power Equipment in Medina, Ohio and bought about 90% of what Cathy had on hand...about 10 pickup truck and trailer loads...

He's not planning on putting this stuff up on eBay
(at least not any time soon...there's just too much stuff to go through and sort out to do that). He's been in business since 1950 and has old jac and MUCH new old stock of parts for many manufacturers...tractors, mowers, saws, etc.

There is more detail on the reply to the message about Corll's going out of business, but you can contact Eversharp at 330-723-2480 or at their
web site (coming soon)...
