Does anyone have a source of that anti skid rubber like material that is glued down to the foot rests on some garden tractors. Thanks

I got some stuff that was like sandpaper with adhesive back. It was sold for non-slip, like on stairs. colored black with a yellow stripe. About 6" wide and 24-30" long.

I got it from Home Depot, probably the other mega hardware stores carry it too.

"Duplicolor" has an aerosol spray truck bedliner out recently.A little messy to use(mask well) and follow directions.Build to desired thickness by adding coats...recoat anytime over base.Leave a nice almost sandpaperey surface.Just did some Simp footrests and Murray running boards, worked good.Though a lil pricey at about $14 can.
Carquest or other parts stores carrying Duplicolor brand auto touch up paints.I'm considering trying it on a steel steering wheel next.

Look in the RV area at WalMart or go to Camping world. They sell small sheets, about 6x14, for steps on trailers and motor homes.

Nose: I know 2 or 3 items that would work, but the problem is You cant buy a small quantity. How about looking at some auto store or wally world. Find one of those heavy ribbed floor mats. Even a entrance door ribbed mat. Those are ribbed and strong. Cut them to the desired size. 3M makes and anti skid tape, dont think it would last long. We used it around the shop years ago. We also used a pourus rubber that we lined conveyor belt drive rollers, but again, you would have to buy a lot of it.

Roman Nose: Don't know how much of a stickler for authenticity you are, but a decently-stocked hardware store may carry the anti-skid tape used on stairs. I've seen this used on tractors before, both on footrests and on mounting steps. It looks like black sandpaper and usually has an adhesive back.

Doesn't someone make anti slip stickers for bath tubs? Seems to me I've seen them in the big box stores.

Hey--good idea! I've got them in my bathtub at home (they were there when I bought the place). Only problem is mine are in the shape of pink flowers--somehow that ruins the "tough guy" image of your lean, mean, lawnmowing machine! Seriously, though--I've seen them in rectangular shapes as well that could probably be cut to size.
