Is it possible to put the 40" commercial mower attatchment on an old L series model

i have seen one used on an li model before[mid speed version] but not an L that would be real quick and might not give a good job and might be hard to control. usually people use a minimum 7.6 super conv. or more for these mowers. you could borrow one and try it before buying one of these that way you would not be disatisfied

I don't see why not. They made a 40"rotary mower and a 50" rotary mower.I was always told that all attachments would fit all models.

If you want to put one on a 5.5 or 6.6 model L
I would use gear reduction wheels to slow the tractor down so as not to overload the mower deck
by going to fast.
