Thought you'd find this funny. I had a craftsman 12 h.p. rider with no spark. Traced to faulty ignition switch, installed new switch and fried the stator. Turns out, when I plugged in the switch (under side of fender) I used the braille method and accidently bent the ground terminal to the light terminal (or charge terminal). OOOOOPPPPP SSSSS S..... ...

you know what.dont feel bad bro.when i worked for sears yrs ago i did the same thing .i fried the stator and part of the wiring harness.the bad part about it was it was a new harness and i was at the customers house with him standing right there.i felt like a heel.luckily i had a used stator at the house .next day went back next day and installed stator and repaired harness until i could get the new parts.
