Do any of you have any experience with small engine manuals on CD?

I have been getting very involved in small engine repair and am wondering how helpful these CD's can be.

How many brands of engines are offered on CD? Do they cover most models? most repairs?

Do they require anything special for me to be able to veiw them on our computer?

thanks for any info, DRD

Buying the CD is cheaper and easier to store. You can just print the sections that you are working on and take them to the shop on a clipboard or loose pages. If they get too dirty, throw them away and print another copy.

You can print off the pages, without dirting your manuals. If you are like me the dirtier your hands the more often you need to turn the pages.

I prefer a manuel that is a manuel, i.e. book form, as a monitor either CRT or LCD type is hard to lay across your knee while you are working on a piece of equipment.
