May be a spring came off the drive belt.

Let my grandson play on my mower (blade off) in a field. Was going up a hill and did something cause it started rolling down and he could do nothing about it.

Got it to the shop and one of the springs on the drive belt tensioner pulleys popped off. Put 'er back on and had no problems since. Course he doesn't ride it anymore either.

I am careful with my hydro as I am concerned that heat from pulling things may kill it. Also insure that the top of the tranny is clear of grass clippings and that the little belt driven fan is a fannin.

Mark

I would check the belts and pulleys, make sure you did not somehow pull the free row device.
