gravely model 817 clutch hub removal

I have a 1978 Gravely model 817. It appears to have spun the inner clutch hub and no longer will go forward.I removed the clutch but cannot get the hub loose from the transmission case. any help would be appreciated. and no it doesn't pull off with a puller. Thanks Griff

Thanks for any help I received. The inner cluth hub was removed and replaced by removing the transmission case cover. In the rear is a snap ring and the old part pushes out. The new just taps right in. Thanks again Griff

John go to www.oldgravelys.net and download the 800 series manuals. They are free to download. There is a owners, parts and shop manuals. I just finished replacing the pto clutch on my 812. If you need more help just email. Ed

If I remember right a 11by5/8 bolt is used to remove clutch.Remove center bolt and screw in apiece of threaded rod,should push off.
