I also have a lawn chief 440 with a 39" deck. I also have the manual. I can scan it and email/fax it to you if you like - reply with an email address/fax number you want it sent to. I'm trying to find a grass bagger that will work with my tractor with minimal mods; any suggestions? PS - The company was bought out by MTD, I believe in the later 90's.

I just bought a Lawn Chief 440 and I've been looking for a parts list for replacement parts. I would sure appreciate if someone could email me one. Just for anyones info, you can download an owners manual from MTD website. Unfortunately the site does not offer the parts list.

I have a 440, the gearbox just went bad. Everything else works perfect. New belts and blades as of this year. I'm going to sell it, and finance a new 0-turn mower as soon as my tax check comes. If you're interested, email me, and we'll talk. I'm in Youngstown, Ohio.

I could use a copy of the manual. I just bought a lawn chief 440 and the deck needs some help. Will you email a copy of the manual?

We (meaning "my wife") just bought one at a yard sale, and we could use a manual. (It was already second-hand to the guy we bought it from.)
Part of the same purchase was a Craftsman sweeper that hooks to the trailer hitch on the Lawn Chief. I can let you know how that works out, if you're still looking for a suitable "bagger" for yours.
Let me know about copying/postage costs for the manual.

I just bought a Lawn Chief 440 12 hp. If you still have a copy of the manual you scanned, I sure would like a copy. I'd be willing to pay you for it. Thanks.
