Hi: I'm trying to decide which tractor is the better buy for the money. Either will serve my mowing needs as I have about 1 acre of lawns to mow. I have found during my searches that both JD and CC compare the 2166 against the LX line from Deere. Should I take that as the CC to be the better choice? Is the Kawasaki engine on the LT reason enough to go that way? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Sean the guy that lives beside me has a 2166 and says its a great mower but wishes he got the bigger cadet. He is a truck driver and only mowes when his grass is a foot tall, last weekend he was home and mowed about 6 hrs then went out and mowed down his garden including a 1/2 acre of corn. He is a great guy but hard on stuff.

the lx is a real nice line, as is the lt. the kawisaki is a real nice engine. if you go with deere, stay away from the freedom deck. go with th c deck. for your yard, a 38 or 42 will be big enough. the 42 c is a tougher deck, from my experience. can't speak for or against cc 2166. no experience with them.
