I have a twin cylinder Briggs and Straton
402707 model. The exhaust valve seat has come undone from the cylinder head. Is this repairable,
are there oversized seats? Any options, new motor is expensive.

My Dad had a 10 horse Briggs with this problem. I merely put the seat back into place and then staking it into place with a pointed punch and hammer. This was over five years ago. Still running fine.

You are on the right track. Check with a local machine shop and they should be able to come up with an oversize seat. You're not the first with this problem. Good luck.
