My dad bought a MTD Rear Engine Riding Mower (560 & 561 model series) at Wal-Mart about six years ago. He has since passed on and me, the daughter has been trying to keep this up. I guess I've done okay but I was wondering if there was any chance, or any place I could pick up a used twin bag grass collector for it. I just don't want to pay $200 - $300 for a new one. Could that be possible at any type of "bone yard" or used auto parts center? Any good store? We live in southern Michigan but driving is no problem, even to Detroit or Chicago to pick it up. Any really good place to place a want ad? And I suppose changing another model twin bag to fit my mower is kind of stretching it because I'm not a handyman. Any ideas you have on this would be okay.

Thank you very much, Val

Just a note here, converting a non=bagger to a bagger takes a bit more than just adding a bag attachment. Most would require modifications to deck skirting, and changing to a different style blade to provide more airflow to carry clippings to bag.Dealer could adv just"exactly" what needs are.Have you considered a mulching kit for your MTD,it consists of blades and a plug for the discharge chute.Usually 30-50$,causes clippimgs to be cut very fine so they sift down into turf and decompose quickly.I have tried several baggers over the years and was not real impressed,so now my mowers are all"mulchers".

I don't want to mulch would rather catch for now. I am tired of raking every time I mow, golly or goll...My Back!! I thought I could find something used...somewhere.

Thank you, Val

So sorry Rod! I'm skimming, only an hour at the library. Thanks I'll look into it. Any ideas on used catches? Does this happen?

Thank you, Val
