I am trying to restore an old gravely mower. I'm not sure of the model, it has "commercial 10" on the hood. The ser.# plate lists the model as a G followed by either a 2 or 3 (I can't tell for sure, the number is scratched so I can't read it.) and finally a 4 the ser. # is C165851 and there is a "SPEC. NO. 46397D" under that. This plate is on the shroud on the left rear side of the mower. There is a ser. # on the left side of the transmission case J-9226. Is G24 the correct model designation for this? Where can I find manuals for this gravely? What color was this originally? It has an off white hood and the rest is red but there is yellow paint underneath. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, John S-B

The correct designation is a commercial 10.
According to the experts on the Gravely site on Yahoo there were 2 models. The first one is one with a belt driven starter/generator which moves very fast in high range. The second is one with a flywheel alternator, which is a bit slower in high range. For manuals I would go to the Gravely web site. Additional information can be obtained from the Gravely Club at Yahoo.
