My Opinion:
I wouldn't take another Cub Cadet if they gave it to me free! I bought a 3000-series about 18 months ago because I wanted a trouble free mower to last me the rest of my life, but it has been nothing but trouble.

Fuel tank leaked like a sieve the very first week, and it took them 2 weeks to fix it. Electrical problems all the time. Tail lights keep falling off. Last week the fuel pump went-- $63 because a little knob broke off the end of the plunger, but they only sell the complete pump! I wrote to complain and got a form letter back that basically said go talk to your dealer.

I have a three-year old no-name "Lawn General" that I got for a small fraction of the money I spent on the Cub Cadet and it is a far superior tractor. I'd recommend that, if you can find one.

Good luck,
Tom

Look at Simplicity. IF I was going to buy a NEW L&G tractor I'd get one of them.
