I was just going throught some old mtd posting and saw your message re the 69 mtd. I am rebuilidng a 10 hp in my garage and have a parts spare in the yard, and could always find room for another. I'm impressed with how they were build in the old days. If you still have it available let me know, I'm also looking for an original snowblower and tiller.
Thanks and have a merry christmas
Frank

That was made when MTD made a great mower.I sold one to a guy in Clarksville,Iowa a couple years ago that collects them, but I've lost his name, address, and e-mail.

Chuck, I wasnt going to say that but I'm glad You did. This really is a tough little machine and if had one less project I would work on it.Theres a funny story associated with this one.I bought it from an older couple that were downsizing, they had a garden and 1/2 acre around a ranch house to mow in an old affluent development.Well this guy was always trying to one up his neighbor" who he didnt speak with"so he painted the mtd to look like the wheelhorse of the day,RED AND WHITE with all the decals and pinstriping ect.I guess at a distance it would pass!My father in law would like to have it I think to get to his deer stand and back.
