Just movind into a house and was cutting back some of the brambles when i came across an old garden tractor- A simplicity 725. What can anyone tell me about these? I know not one thing about tractors, but would like to restore this to operating condition. So don't laugh at my dumb questions. Any info is great, but i am most curious as to what i should do to make it run. I have worked on old trucks, so i should be able to do this, but if there is any info on restarting tractors, i'd sure appreciate it. Also, when were these made, and by who? Where do parts come from? Are they rare/collectable at all? I know i might be asking for kind of a lengthy reply, and thanks in advance for all your time. Have a great day!

Lucky you....

First see if the engine is not fast...
Check for spark....
Look in the tank for rust...Coat with gas tank sealer if needed... Check engine oil...
Put in the gas... Put some gas in a oil can...
Remove aircleaner...Squirt some gas into carb.
Pull rope or crank starter...Keep squirting gas into carb. untill engine keeps running...
If it wont keep running back out main carb. jet screw...
Good luck
