Re: Ranchking Garden Tractors in reply to Larry Shepard, 07-30-2002 18:40:52
Larry, Mac is right. MTD is the manufacture. I have a 18hp RanchKing. The owners left it here when we bought the place. Actually I dont think they had much choice; 3-flats, froze starter, toasted ing. switch, 2 snapped belts, dried battery, carb rebuild, etc etc..... Although the tiller attatchment was in good shape. Well after I put some time and a few bucks in it she has run like a champ since. I'll tell ya for the 5yrs following I really worked that little tractor. Tilling 3 acres 2-3 times a year not to mention mowing every weekend. Got myself a MF TO-35 2yrs ago so now all she does is mow and occasional till'n. No complaints, starts every weekend. Anyway you wanted some info....sorry Larry, lets see. Owners Guide lists: MTD Products INC. SERV. DEPT. P.O. BOX 368022 Cleveland, Ohio 44136-9722
Hey I hope this helps you out, or atleast gives you a start. Hey good luck Larry, and enjoy! Steve

I would check the safety cutoff swx's first thing, they do corrode or go bad.
