Have bought a haben 406 sicle mower to mount to my cub 100 Apperantly this model was for a 110 deere and has a right angle gearbox to get to the front pulley. Am looking for any papers to go with this mower and/or someone who could e-mail their phone number to figure this one out. thanksJB

I have a Haban 402-E for a Cub Cadet. It was mounted on a CC147 when I got it, Photo's in the manual show it mounted on a CC129, and other pics show it mounted on a CC102...All narrow frames, so I assume it will also work just fine on a CC100.

I have a '64 JD110, and assuming your Haban is in as good of shape as mine, and yours actually was designed to fit my JD110, I would consider a trade of some kind. Where at you located, Jerry? I'm in Eastern Nebraska. Gadget

guess i got carried awy there so basically the valve seat is a machined ring that is set in the aluminum alloy block sorta like the drain in a sink. Well this seat gets extremly hot and works back into the aluminum alloy block which makes the valve stay slightly open. This is like putting the stopper in the sink but it just doesn't hold water too good. To cure this prblem the valve head needs to be firmly seated on the seat like putting more pressure on the sink stopper. In order to do this the distance between the valve stem and the cam follower has to be increased so that the cam follower doesn't hold it open.I really am sorry that I cannot describe this exactly because it is a fairly easy fix but a fix that many repair shops would say you need a new engine to fix. Hopefully someone else can shed more light on this.
