Harold Gesh no one has tryed to help ya out yet ok ill try to here Spring which one are you refering to i dont want to tell ya the wrong way and not be the spring that im thinking of , Do you mean the small spring that rides on the throttle rod going to the carb or the govenor spring its self that goes from throttle control to the govenor arm???

Adjusting the Govenor Set throttle to wide open with the throttle plate in carb set at wide open position loosen locknut holding the arm to the gov shaft that comes out of engine take most are flat headed screwdrivers turn while holding the govenor arm at wide open postion turn the govenor shaft counter clockwise till it stops tighten lock nut on govenor shaft and this ought to pretty much have the govenor right in ballpark .. Mail me back or post back let me know bout which spring Thanks

Chris
