Roth Country Boy Garden tractors were built in Alma Mich. in 1951-1953 came with what ever engine
was aviable I have two one has a Kohler and the other is Wisconson the wis. I bought from org. owner. It has a Chysler trans. and worm gear rear end. the other has a GM? trans . Roth also sold a front mower deck for these that had a briggs to power it.
The Roth co. also built a two wheel garden tractor in reg.height and high crop.
Hope this helps
Curt

Thanks for the 2 replies I received. One from Steve Johnson from Salem Oregon about the color and one from Bob Bair answering the question form Curt R. In response to Steve Johnson, no, I got it from a gentleman here in Michigan where I live. I paid 400.00 for it but he had sold all the attachments to a golf club so the only thing I have is a single bottom plow a friend gave me. I bought it so I could take my wife to tractor shows and flea markets. She has trouble walking forlong distances. It has a wisconsin engine. Interesting was the fact that they had a chrysler or gm transmission and worm gear. I still want to find out as much as I can about this tractor. We usually buy John Deere tractors. We belong to a tractor club here in the Thumb of Michigan and are in many parades and shows in the area. Thanks again for the info sent. Richard Kottke

Just purchased a 1956 Roth County Boy and I have the original factory brochure for this tractor. If you are interested in a copy of the brochure I can send one to you.

I would be more than glad to get any information on Roth's tractors. I have two pages from the "red tractor book 1950-1951" published by implement and tractor. a kind of catalog for dealers, back then. I will be glad to share. we just bought a BesRo"R" 1950-1951 and were glad to see it in the book. I am now researching the Roth'a company as I grew up in Alma where they were built. Thanks RC clasics

Hi guy's, I just saw a Country Boy while garage saling this weekend. It was painted dark green. I've never seen one of these in my life and I was blown away by it. The owner is a friend of mine, and he's restored it completly. I started researching the net for any info about this tractor with no luck. Does anyone have pictures of these trators? thank you.

I have just purchased a Country Boy garden tractor. I have been told that it was made in Alma, Michigan in 1939. It's rather large as garden tractors go and runs like a top. I sure need some more information on this tractor. Can you help? Thanks for any information I receive

Since posting my first request for information on Country Boy garden tractor, I have found out that they weren't made in 1939 but from about 1951 to 1959. It has a Wisconsin engine. I understand they had different engines besides the Wisconsin. Other than that, I can't seem to find out much about them. I would like to also know what color they were. Mine had a green paint on it that I can't discribe. Thanks, Richard Kottke
