HI all, i'm going to look at a dexta this weekend. as i was telling this to a 'tractor dealer' while i was looking at a jubilee he had for sale, the dealer said "don't buy a dexta, you can't find parts anywhere for them, you can find parts for 8n's, 9n's, and other models all over the place. but don't buy a dexta or you'll be stuck if you need a part" I guessed he may well have been saying this so that i would buy his jubilee. but i wanted to ask you all, your opinion on the dexta parts availability compared to other ford models.

They are solid tractors. You will not have a problem finding engine parts, but I really had problems getting sheet metal and other parts.

N's and fergys go in the same pile. Good for mundane stuff, but the lack of live pto/hydraulics dooms them to the shed. Get a Ford 2000 or Dexta or 35 Massey. Dexta parts are everywhere, you just need to look around. They are tough as nails and have a real cult following. I love my 2 Dextas.
