I'm having trouble finding hydraulic hose connectors that will fit this tractor. I know that they are special threads for this FORDSON. I used to get the adapters to fit 3/4" pipe so I could use normal hoses I believe but the dealer is now out of business. I'm in NJ and need some help on this. Thanks

I just sold my 59 FMD that had a WainRoy hoe. There is a tractor/excavator repair shop on RT 206 between rt 80 & Newton (in Andover?)who had the adapters. It is straight with a small flange that an o-ring sits against. A standard 1/2" hose then threads into the rear of it.

Sean, I have an 1801 Ford Backhoe. I was not able to find the correct hydraulic fittings. I ended up finding a fitting that matched the threads and used LockTight (I forget the number but it is a special blend for hydrualics) to seal the hoses. I am close to replacing every hose on the tractor and I haven't had a leak yet. The Lock Tight is red in color.

I live in New Jersey also and have a 55,57, and a 1960 fmd loader backhoe. I also have an extra sherman backhoe which might be newer than 1960 and none of them have special hose connectors. It's true that you can use black pipe connectors. I just order hoses or have them made up locally. The wagner loaders, and sherman backhoes were made and installed on these machines in the U.S.A. . One of my machines even has the 3point hydraulic lift under the seat.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Ron. For some reason the thread is different on this tractor. Landpower in Greeen Brook used to sell them but they are out of business. I also have the three point under the seat. Tractor still runs good and has done alot of work. Where do you get parts locally for your FORDSON tractors?
