I need some help when i started backing my fpm up a small incline, the engine started running full throttle after shutting it off and giving it a visual noticing nothing. started it with the same results i have never heard this tractor run so hard. i unhooked the throttle lever and it still runs wide open.appreciate any ideas (it's a diesel)

Check your vaccuum pipes between inlet manifold and fuel pump govenor have no holes in them or are not loose. I had rusty pipes that let air in with a simular result to yor description. Electrical tape cured it temporally. Also you could dismantle your govenor assembly on the end of the fuel pump and check the diaphram for splits etc and that the moving parts are free. Chris
