WERE IS THE OUTSIDE SEAL ON THE REAR END SHAFT IS IT IN THE HOUSING WIYH THE BEARING AND DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE BEARING PRESSED OUT TO GET TO THE SEAL AND HOW DOES THE BEARING KEEP GREASE ON IT. BOY I AM JUST FULL OF QUESTION'S BUT I NEED HELP. OH! IT'S ON A FORDSON DEXTA 1958 OR 1962.

Are you talking about the pto shaft or the axle? I think you are talking about the pto shaft. You have to drain the oil out of the rear end then take the bolts out from around the shaft and pull out shaft and bearing, then you can put in a new seal. If it's the axle, there's 2 seals, one in the housing which is easy to get to, then there's another one on the axle itself. It could be a doozie. If you have a manual it will show you a picture of what you have to do. If you don't let me know and I'll scan you a picture from mine. Hope this helps.
