Greetings all! I am considering purchasing a '60 Super Major with what appears to be an original Ford backhoe and front loader bucket. It hasn't run in years and all hoses look terrible but it appears complete and in average condition. Are cylinder seal kits and fittings for the numerous hydraulic lines still available or is there an affordable repair option? (I love my case of the "blues")

I have a 62 with the backhoe and ford loader. Have the installation manual with all the parts in it if you need numbers. Am looking for the book for the ford backhoe

be sure not to loose any of the fittings on the controls because they are as rare as hens teeth however the cylinders are easily rebuilt and so are the controls however if you are needing a hydraulic pump the original model are obsolete but there is an alternative pump if you need the info on it I will go get the info off of mine. I have completely rebuilt mine from the ground up so if you have any questions ill be glad to try and answer them

Most cylinder seals seem available from Ford/NH and probably other sources as they seem pretty standard. Haven't replaced any hoses, though some are really bad looking. Hoses can be made by many auto parts places and would probably be a lot cheaper than from Ford/NH. Try to find the data plates to identify model numbers of the loader and backhoe in case you do need parts.
