there is a hard way and an easy way. the easy way is to take off the central nut of the steering column and bit by bit pour oil down until it will take no more and oil starts to leak out. i understand the resevoir will hold a litre of oil, although i'm not so sure it will actually take this much. the hard way will involve dismantling stuff, including the fuel tank and i haven't tried this.

I agree , however , while pouring oil into the column, turn the wheel,lock to lock which helps disperse the oil.
