I used the Diff Lock for the first time and it is now stuck down (on). I have tried the Handbook advice of sharp clutch and sharp breaking on each wheel but it will not disengage and return ro the raised position. Have tried lubricating it as well.
Would appreciate help if you have any ideas, thanks.

Did you get your differential lock to work righ?. Just was wondering if you were able to get it working again.
Bruce.

Bruce,
I've had some success! I took the easy option, I disconnected the connecting rod and was then able to pull the pedal back up again, relasing the diff lock. I then re connected the rod. So at least I have released the diff lock so that i can use the tractor now, (I dare not push it down again) but the adjustment job will have to wait till the warmer weather. I am surprised because it seemed lock solid seized until I disconnected the rod and then it was resonably easy to pull the pedal back up and disengage? At least I have a quick fix now until I check and adjust properly.

Check to see if the operating link is bent. This link is spring loaded, the shaft inside could be seazed, or the spring could be broken. Posibly out of adjustment. If so, heres how to adjust. Proper adjustment of the differential lock mechanism requiers minimum adjustment clearance between the operatingfork, and the face of sliding coupling when the lock is in disingage position, and that the lock be in fully ingaged position, when the foot pedal is depressed until it strikes the right hand foot rest. Before attempting to adjust the differential lock, be sure the foot rest is not bent out of position and there is nothing on the foot rest to prevent full travel of the foot pedal. To make adjustment, proceed as follows: Dicconect the spring loaded operating rod from the operating lever. Back off the locknut on the adjusting screw in the axle housing. Position operationg lever so that operating fork just contacs face of sliding coupling. Turn adjusting screw in until contact is made with operating fork; then, back adjusting screw out 1/4- turn and tighten lock nut.
Block up right rear wheel and turn wheel while pushing down on operating leaver to fully engauge the differential lock. Hold operating lever in this position and with foot pedal against the foot rest, adjust the length of spring loaded operating rod so that pin can be inserted through operating rod and yoke and operating lever. Then shorten rod two turns, tighten locknut and reinstall pin connecting operating rod to operating lever. Hope this helps you out.

Have you tried reversing? That might clear it
