Could anyone tell me what year my tractor is? I have looked in several guide reference books but found nothing. The number is (R 12930) and is stamped on the right side of the block near the front and top. Any feedback would be greatly appreiciated. Thank you , Mark

the serial number. located on the flange between the clutch housing and the engine, on the left side of the tractor, stamped verically on the edge of the flange where the bolts go through. you might have to clean it up to see the number. Just find the year our tractor was made this evening. Look up www fordsontractorpages.nl. I hope this helps you. Regards Kathleenthird party image

If it's an E27N Major, the original production serial number should be on a plate attached to the backside of the dashboard. It might also be stamped on the bell housing rim on the side behind the starter.

Factory reconditioned engines built in 1951 start with 0797 and end with 13,573. These would fit either the Model N or the E27N Major. (Or the old Model F, for that matter.) E27N production ended in 1952, but replacement engines were built until 1956.
Original factory numbers ran in order from the earliest tractors to late 1961. (Some gaps or breaks for early model kits built overseas, perhaps)
After No 1,623,295, they started a new numbering system. Dextas had their own number sequence.

Is it a diesel Major? Could the serial number be 1312930?
