My dad and I have acquired a 1918 and a 1919 fordson. The 1919 has a complete set of fenders on it. I am looking for some really good detailed pictures of some original or restored fenders from several angles so I will know what we are up against in the restoration process. You can see pictures of either tractor by searching for "Cole" under the tractor photos.

Hi Andy, Looking at your pictures of the 1919 with fenders. The tractor appears to be a later year. As you may know there were no provision for fenders until around 1923. Up until then the dash casting was not drilled for the fender bracket mounting. The rear axle housings on a 1919 would be smooth with no groove where the fender U bolts would clamp. The tapered rear type fenders shown did not come out until 1926. From 1923 (first year for fenders) until 1926 the fender toolboxes were square. Fordsons had the 6 spoke rear wheel well into 1920. Can you check the tractor for more information such as casting dates. Hope this helps you out a little, Butch
