Hello,

I have a ford industial 220 engine mounted in an air compressor that was made in 1968. someone suggested it was a fordson motor. I need to find a cheap exhaust manifold. any info on the make of the motor would be great.

Any source for a cheap exhaust manifold would also be great.

thanks

The Engine Serial Number can be found in one of these locations
1 Located on the flange between the clutch housing and the engine, on the left side of the tractor, stamped vertically on the edge of the flange where the bolts go through; 2 The engine number, located on the left side of the engine near the exhaust manifold.
3 On the Identificaation Plate inside the Battery Compartment.
4 On the Machined Face below No1 Injector. As Majorman stated Regards

Post the number from under No.1 Injector or on the flange behind the starter and we can date it. Also look for numbers like A15Z cast into all major components. Numbers that start E1A are of no significance.

Hi Majorman,
We have both been here before, My Engine Serial No is R61272 with NO casting codes. Thats the reason for asking the question.

That is a Fordson Super Major or Fordson Power Major Manifold. Should be easy to get hold of, the same engine was used in lots of different applications as well as tractors and combines.

There is a guy who sells them on ebay. If you do a search for fordson they will come up, I think they are around 120$ US. You might also want to call bare-co or sparex.
