fordson N pistons

i have a fordson, no serial number,it seem"s the bore size is not stock, mine are 4 an 3/16.Bob at fordson house per our discussion sent me stock just incase i had measured wrong, but the pistons he sent were to small,an it did not sound like he had anything bigger, has anyone else run across this,an is ther something else that would be compatible, or is ther a piston that size for the fordson ? i need the piston"s an the pins.thanks

It's funny that your engine doesn't have a serial number. Even the factory reconditioned spares shipped in the '50s had numbers on them. If you have an Irish or English Model N engine, the standard bore is 4 1/8 inch. So it looks like you have .060 oversize pistons. I don't think this is out of the ordinary. You might even go a little more without cutting into the water jackets.
If you have a Model N engine, there should be an outside magneto in the forward lower right side of the engine. These engines were sold factory reconditioned until 1956.
