Hey all, havnt posted here in awhile. I have a 59 Dexta and for the past while its been sitting out in the rain, we never actually thought about starting it or anything because we were just too busy here. We went to start it the other day but it engine would not crank over, we could hear it trying to but it would not turn, we had to get the car to tow it and then we tryed to let out the clutch it appear that the rear axle was all seized up and the back wheels were just skidding along. Eventually it got free and started fine, is this a sign the oil level in the rear axle is too low? The back arms dont stay up anymore when the tractor is off and oil has been escaping from the left side rear axle seal. Also since its been the rain water has gotten into the engine trought the air filer and the exhaust and the oil is about twice the level it should be, and kind of gray is colour whats the best way to get rid of this oil to totally clear out the engine before putting new oil in??? or is there away to drain the water off the engine?? Also any ideas how to get at the rear axle drain? Hope you can answer this, and i hope you read this far, please answer any of these questions if you can, would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Alan
