Theman, thanks for your reply. My carb is definately a later "gas only" retrofit. the air washer has been closed off by a flat steel plate on top. the carb is a Schlebler updraft that is bolted to a length of 3/4" threaded iron pipe. the pipe was bent into a large "U" shape and then bolted to the manifold upside down so the carb hangs down by the exhaust pipe. I am anxious to learn the dates on your dash. thanks, JIM

My father rebuilds and restores Ford tractors. His specialty is 8N. He also has several Fordsons. The one he is currently working on is a 1923 model. The problem is finding a paint color that matches the original gray. He is very precise about all the work and painting he puts into restoring his tractors. When he sells them, everything has to be perfect. He will not even allow paint to run. He also guarantees his tractors for one year after selling them. Do you think you could help with the color? Maybe give us a number or something to go by? We would like to take it to a show, but it will not go with us until it is just right. By the way, the Fordson is not for sale. Thanks.
