851 distributor and oil pump drive

Pulled the distributor to turn 180 on a 851 and heard the oil pump shaft drop how do I get it back up and make it stay will replacing the distributor.

As long as it dropped into the oil pump it's ok. Now if it dropped on the side of the pump I was able to use some very long nose needle nose pliers to get mine out. I actually purposely put mine into the oil pump first so it wouldn't drop out into the wrong place from the distributor.

Hardcase; I've used a magnate to pull the shaft up and out. Put some thick grease on the end of the distributor shaft and shove the drive shaft into it. Should stay until you get it in place.
