i recently changed all fluids in my 1961 871 sos now my trans fluid transfers to the hydraulic resevoir (this takes 5-10 min. of normal operation) at which time the trans starves for fluid and the tractor will not move until the fluid is manually transfered back. (i have tried waiting a day or two to see if it would drain back and it did not)
any help please??

Output shaft seal, PTO shaft seal, or pressure sender gone bad on tail of transmission. Rear split required, except for sender. Sender may be addressed through inspection cover on left side of center housing.

The transmission and hydraulic reservoirs are separate on this unit. Unless the hydraulics are way overfull (i don't think it's physically possible) and a Trans seal is really bad, you will not get trasfer back into trans.

Well unless you are using a text to speach program, being "all ears" won't help much! Maybe all eyes?

If you want to tell where it is coming from (good to know!), remove the access cover on the left side of the hydraulic reservour. Fill the SOS and start it up. You should be able to see where it is gushing from. rain the hydraulic res first so you can see clearer.
