I have an 851 Ford, 1957 year. The hydraulic pump is leaking where the supply and pressure manifold attaches. I replaced the seals this morning but it leaks worse now! I was going to get a set of misceleaneous "O" rings and start replacing rings progressively getting bigger till the leak stops. Any suggestions?

Part II the rest of the story in reply to TnT, 02-19-2007 10:22:44
It seems that the supply/pressure manifold was warped where it attached to the pump housing. I dressed it with a hand file and that stopped the leak. It's aluminum so I didn't want to take too much off. If it warps again I'll replace the pipe.

When I replaced the o"rings in mine, I read on this forum to make sure I got the proper o"rings from a Ford Dealer. They were kinda expen$ive. I think I remember that one was made from oval stock and the other was from square stock. Anyway, no leaks...Ron

Did you use the OEM CNH orings.. or tisco generocs? The CNH orings, in some cases, are 'bigger' for the same application..

Also.. did you clean upt he surfaces good/

Any cracks?
