I got some more 90' angle adapters today and re-routed 2 of my hyds hoses that were in the way of my brake and clutch pedals.. with the new adapters, the hoses lay almost perfect.

I did have to make a 'standoff' out of a piece of 1" x 1/8" flat stock, drilled with a 3/8 hole at one end which I mounted under a tranny cover bolt, on the left front of the tranny. I also drilled 2 smaller holes near the end o fthe stock so i coul lay a hyd hose across it then use a zip tie to hold it. This keeps the hose for the big SA lift cyl from rubbing the gear shifter.. looks pretty decent.

I also had time to cut the rotten floor out o fthe bucket. I ende dup cutting a 36" piece out ( bucket is 39.5" wide.. so my piece to stitch in is about 37" x 39.5" )

I'm looking forward to that on friday morning perhaps.

I don't have a big torch bottle set ( just small ones ).. so i used a 4" angle grinder. i was prepaired for a long haul.. but it pretty much cut the rusty 1/8? metal like butter.

Took 2 4" 'cutting' blades, and about an hour to cut the floor out, plus the 2 brace strips and angle across the bottom of the bucket.

slowly but surely she is coming along.

I think i have the hyd leak at the unused 'drop' port on the valve fixed. i had originally used a short 9/16 bolt and oring to plug the port.. but it tended to dribble.. so i got a real 3/8 orb fitting for it with a male jic nipple, and jic cap.. so leak should be gone now.

Neat looking bucket, but I think it will not hold much. I just had to say something. Hey at least your fixing it before you have the problem I had and the bottom went south as the loader was going north.

I knew when i bought the laoder that the bucket floor was rotten. I used that as a dicker point to get 50$ off. I knew I had a piece of sheet metal I could weld in there.

I have used it a bit as it was, just to get some work done.. even though it was like a collander!!

Perhaps friday I will get at least some o fthe floor welded in. i still gotta go buy a piece of 2" angle iron ( ran out in scrap pile ), and a couple piects of 1" by 1/" bar stock to use as braces on the bottom ( as the original bucket had ). I'm outta that to... I gotta get back into raiding the scrap pile at work and build my scrap pile back up!! All my welding projects lately have cleaned out my good scrap.

Yep understand about the scrap pile. I've had a good number of people tell me I should load up all my scrap iron and sell it. I tell then NO WAY I need the stuff more and with the cost of new iron being so high the scrap pile saves me big bucks. Of course my pile started 25 plus years ago and its grown over the years. Shoot its about 30 foot wide at the base and 4 or 5 foot tall in places and 100-150 feet long. Theres stuff in it that I don't even remember putting it it and stuff I know is there but can't find. Theres even the 2 main arms from an old IH back hoe in it some place. One thing I wish I could find it the belt pulley for a ford. I know its there or should be but I still haven't found it.

It's all your fault..I use to think that one arm loader was the uglest of all equipment. Now, you got me to looking for one of them to go on my old 850.

Ha Ha
Ugly is good!
They're great loaders but folks just don't like the way they look so they're cheap to buy.

For a couple of years I had a Cub with a I-H 100 (one arm) loader. I heard all the tales about how "one arms" ain't too strong, they'll turn your tractor over side ways,etc.-All hogwash.

On a hundred series Ford it's the only loader a feller can have an still get on an off the tractor after he gets old an fat like me.

I don't see how Soundguy can keep up all the stuff he has an still do such good work. That's gone be real slick when he's done.
