Has anyone had any luck finding sheet metal for 600 and 800 series tractors. I am looking at a 1955 860 that will need it all. It has been rigged and repaired poorly over the years, if the price is right I want to get this tractor and bring it back to where it should be. Sheet metal is the most important thing, the mechanical part is do-able.

Ken,
I have a '56 860. The fenders are different than the 8Ns and different than the 801 series. They seem to be unique and I have not found them anywhere. Also, if it has the power adjust wheels, you will have to find used ones or repair if they have CaCl damage. The other stuff seems available but as someone mentioned, pricey.

I have heard that some of the after market stuff fits very poorly.

Yeah you can get some sheetmetal from this site and others but it's costly. I bought the dog legs from this site but have yet to install. The dog legs seem fine the metal is heavy but not sure of fit.

Depends.
Used-Wengers of Meyerstown- used stuff on ebay-salvage yards across the country.
"Service" quality repo parts are available all over.
Check out the "parts" window on this site.
New Old Stock and Top quality "authentical" jus like Ford repo parts are pricier an a mite harder to find but they are out there too.
'39 to '64 Ford tractors are bout like '55 to '57 chevys-plenty to choose from.
