I went to look at an 800 that was for sale. Price is $1600. It runs, but with a lot of blowby. But I figured it might be worth it to me if it was an 860. Seller really didn't know.

It's an 850 so I'm going to pass on the deal. If anyone else is interested, send me an email and I'll give you the guy's contact info. The hood is in his garage. The hood sides have been welded to the center nose piece, but otherwise the hood doesn't look too bad.

Now, here's the weird part. I looked at the center hub of the rear axle and saw this:

It looks like a previous owner has adapted an 8N or NAA hub. I didn't even know that was possible. Has anyone else seen this done?

Jim...were you able to start it & work the clutch to see if it has live pto? I ask because my 860 is stamped "850" on the housing.

Well, put on the picture of the backside of the wheel. You did take one didn't cha? What did they do put on spacers then long studs? What for?
