Old is right. I tried to use #`134 in my 2n and quickly found out that once it got hot and really thinned out, the lift wouuld not work right, even with the new hydraulic cylinder I installed. Suggest you go to NH who may have the 90 wt mineral oil (mine did). If yuou use the #134 I guarantee that you will be changing it twice with about +$50 down the drain.

Original Ford specs are 90w Mineral Oil (which can still be found at NAPA stores and most Tractor Supply Stores), or the modern substitute is 90w GL-1 gear oil. The New Holland spec changed that to a 134d compatable hydraulic fluid, but I prefer the thicker stuff as it finds leaks less. Of course, I live in Texas - so if you live in real cold climates the thinner 134d will help your hydraulics work better in the Winter.

Your call.

Dan
