My 860 lift had been working really well until yesterday. Have used disk, rear blade, bush hog and the poition controll worked great. Lift would hold the height where set. Hooked up to the post hole augar yesterday and it started acting crazy. Could not hold it in position, either up or down. When I tried to set it to hold a height over the spot for the hole, it would start bouncing up and down. What has happened?

Finaly finished with the augar and put the blade back on today to do some work with it. Worked like it was susposed to. Guess it must be something with the pressure the augar is putting on the topink and making it perform like it was. Thanks for the help.

This may be a good time for you to pick up an IT FO 20 manual.. Could be the control valve, unloading valve or maybe binding linkage etc. It may have picked up a piece of trash in the fluid and be caught in a valve. You may want to put the rear blade back on and give the system a good work out by raising it up and down repeatedly to free it up.

Yes, it is set there and I have tried it both ways. As I said, was working perfect and as soon as I put the augar on it, it started this.
Thanks for any help

John:

Sorry in advance if this is an obvious question but is the draft control lever set to position control?
