I think I have a leak in my high pressure line from the hydraulic pump. I am losing my hydraulic oil level and the transmission is filling completely. Is there any way to fix this without splitting the tractor and finding where the leak is? I have heard of some other tubing being installed tight inside of the existing tubing. Thanks in advance.

If you have a parts book, look at an exploded parts diagram.. it will be easy to see where the pressure line from the pump is passed tot he hyd section thru the trans section. If you don't have the diagram / book.. get one.. you will likely need it to make the repair easier..

I haven't done the job but I think you can remove the hydraulic manifold (the aluminum piece between the pump and trans housing) and then slide a piece of 10mm metric tubing inside the original tube. Some body has previously posted about this repair. The metric tubing is available from McMaster-Carr.

If I was doing the job I'd drain all of the hydraulic fuid and swab out the old tubing until it was completely clean. Then I'd coat the outside of the 10mm tube with epoxy as I slid it into place.
