860 Hydraulic adapter

I have a ford 860. I want to add a remote hydraulic valve. As mentioned in a few other posts on the list, the one that just bolts on like the original is very expensive.

I was planning to make an adapter to allow installation of a remote valve, perhaps on the fender or other handy location. I was on this site looking for information on how to find the function of the various "ports" under the existing cover. However I found a few massages several pages back that mention an adapter plate that fits under the exisitng plate on top of the transmision. This adapter then allows the use of a remote valve to operate an hydraulic devise. If these is such an item already available, I would much prefer to buy one. Does anyone have part numbers and a source for the adapter plate? Thanks..

Just bought the NH plate for my 231 industrial (same as 2600) for $78 from NH.

Checked local salvage (most of Michigan), ebay, etc. the cheapest I found was 250 on ebay. NH wants $810 for the actual valve that bolts under the seat, and $920 for a double valve.

I have 78 in the plate, 120 in a valve, and I am making the hoses right now. Basically all brand new stuff for $300. Versus something off ebay or salvage for the same price and have no idea how good of shape it is.

Hemmjo, if you do install the N.H. or Tisco adaptor plate under the block off plate, just remember your tapping into the oil flow to the tractor hydraulics and if you remove your open center remote valve you must either remove the adaptor plate completely or connect the hosed together that go to the remote valve to allow the oil to circulate...thanks, Kelly.

FNH part no is 9613790 or you can use one from Tisco part no HV4902

Ford made at least three hyd valves for the 1xx series tractors that bolted on under the seat in place of the plate that is now there. No adaptors needed, just four bolts. Might check the salvages yard to see if they can help you out. If they were still available at FNH, they would be budget strechers.

I understand there is an adaptor available from FNH for about $70.00. But I have been unable to get any one on this list to give me the part number. I have not had a chance to go to the dealer, (a drive of 150 miles) to check it out but if I do I will forward the part number to you.
From what I understand it is very simple, just unbolt the top cover and install the adaptor and bolt the top cover back on. then add the hoses and open center valve. good luck on your project
