I just bought the 860 and noticed under stress or whenthe RPMS are up it will spit oil out of the breather. I assume it is a bad piston, or ring and it allows the case to get pressurized. any thoughts?

Homer, are you talking about the breather on the valve cover or where you pour oil in the crankcase? If its the fill tube breather, there should be a baffle inside that tube. The crank turns to the right standing in front facing the tractor. If the fill tube baffle has been opened up (makes changing oil faster), the crank is slinging oil in this direction and it will sling it out. Thanks, Kelly.

Assuming engine is running OK in other respects, i.e., not missing badly, I suspect worn rings/sleeves allowing excessive blowby. If missing regularly, could be a cracked piston. Before you open it up, check the valve cover breather to assure that it is open. Might also want to try heavier oil if symptoms indicate worn rings/sleeves rather than cracked piston.
