I brought a 860 last winter and didn,t know to about them. The pto clucth is out of adj. or they have the wrong clucth in it. When I step on the clucth the mower won,t push me like it did on the 8 n. Bit I can,t stop the forward motion with out stoping the pto. I can,t adj the clucth any cause it is out to the end of the threads. Any have any ideal of what kind of clucth some one might of put in it. I know it has the wrong center hood. I pick uo the right one at ajunk yard. I think some made one tractor out of 2 or 3. It is a 5 speed and run good and don"t use auy oil. I have a sevice and operater maunal, but can,t adj the clucth like they say Thank you

As said, are you in the second hole on the clutch pedal yoke to make the pedal high? If the pedal is up about vertical you could just have worn out clutch(es), then they both disengage about the same time. Or mis-installed, they are supposed to be aligned to each other before a new clutch-set is installed. Not sure if you can install a 'wrong' clutch, the live one has 17 different parts from the none live, not sure it is possible to mismatch clutches & still have the pto & rear end disconnect....

Is the adjusting yoke on the clutch rod in the second hole, if not you won't have enough travel to disengage the pto clutch, Some one could have put a clutch out of a 850 which is a single disc not live pto
