I saw an ad for a Ford 1100D, 4WD, w/768 loader. I can not find any info on such a series Ford tractor. Any help would be appreciated such as; years made, hp, manual tranny, what a machine like this might be worth?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I have a friend with an 1100 diesel. It is a Japanese made tractor and is TINY. You feel like an adult sitting on one of those new pocket motorcycles. The 1100 stands for eleven horsepower, and thats when new. My friend is running a four foot bush hog with it and I've done alot of mowing on it, it can barely pull itself. The one she has is 4WD and I usually run it in 2WD as the 4WD eats horsepower and it has none to spare. Parts are mostly still available from NH but are very expensive. They were available with a hydro static tranny and a 5 speed with Hi/Lo, which is what my friend's is.

Probably good for plowing an acre garden, and such but otherwise useless.

My two cents worth is to avoid it.

I have a 81" 1100 4WD and I love it. I use it to mow my pasture with my 5" finish mower, and prefer it vs my 35 HP and 45 HP tractors for mowing. So maneueverable. 2 gallons diesel mowing all day.
The front end is too light to handle heavy implements, but I have used it with my 5" bushhog in tight places vs my bigger tractor. The 3PH will pick up more than the front end will stay down on. A loader would offset that, but likely would make for tight steering.

Yes it is tiny, but with 4WD ( a must with a loader), it can be a handy tool.
Useless without 4WD except for mowing in the flat.
I have had mine for 14 years, and other than oil/filter/1 new battery change and replacing tie-rod boot rubbers, I have done no maintenance on mine.
Every tool has it"s use.
BTW: Each F-1100 I see for sale goes for more than N series ford, and many 35-45 HP tractors. Mine has 4WD and differential lock, and traction is always less than power. These tiny tractors are nice and useful, but every tool has its use, a 1100 won"t plow even one row, much less two. Mowing great, I use mine with a rear dirt scoop, and it will load more dirt than the front end will stay down for. It"s according to what you want and need.
