I have been using my 860 the last few days to mow hay, working a few hours each day. It's hot weather, but my temperature gauge shows normal engine temp. At the end of mowing today (thanks be to God), the engine began to lose a little power. I increased RPMs, and then a few minutes later it just quit. I thought it was heat related, maybe vapor lock, so I waited 30 minutes and then tried it again. It started up, ran a few minutes, and then quit again. Same story a few hours later, except it ran 5 - 10 minutes before quiting. After it quit, it cranks and will start, but dies almost immediately *unless I keep it choked*. If it's choked, it will idle if I give it throttle, but it has no power. Nothing else seems suspicious (no leaks or smoke or noises).I have plenty of gas in the tank, and gas in my glass sediment bowl, and the shutoff is open. I have a metal fuel line. I won't be able to look at it until tomorrow, but I am thinking that the carb bowl must not be filling up due to a blockage in the fuel line. I was going to start by removing the fuel line and blowing it out with air. If that didn't work, I guess I'll have to take the carb off and disassemble it. I don't have any experience troubleshooting tractors. Does this seem like a good plan? Does anyone have any other thoughts? Thanks, Michael
