I installed an override coupling on my 850 and the roll pin keeps breaking after 10 to 15 mins. Any ideas why this is happening? Also which position should the implement control be in ...up down or level when brush hogging? thanks

Is the telescoping shaft on your bushhog froze up? If so you need to get it to slide free and grease it real good. hope to help. Eric

Are you using a 1 3/8" ORC on a 1 1/8" PTO? If this is the case the rolled pin is actually turning the ORC instead of the splines. Yes, I've actually seen this. Only other thing I can think of is that you have no slip shaft on your implement shaft.

A loose fit between any of the pto parts will also hammer the pin to shreds. A worn shaft on tractor, worn splines on the ORC, worn shaft on ORC, or worn coupler on the implement....

Or, if the angle has changed because of the increased length of the pto, and it is really banging on a steep angle.

Or, the pto shaft is too long now, & it shears the pin as you raise & lower the implement.

I looked at the spline and noticed that the hole in it is oblonged. I guess that is my problem. Is there a repair/sleeve to fix it or with my luck is a an expensive repair?

You want to be in position mode (lever horizontal) at all yimes unless actually plowing.

Some folks find ways to use it with light chores, but generally the spring is not sensitive enough for that & will really foul things up with unexpected results.
